We have found the engagement session to be so valuable. It allows us to get to know one another, personally and photographically. Based on the value we see it adds to the Cimbalik Photography Experience, we've decided it is a gift we want to give to all of our couples. Because it is a gift, it is not something that can be removed for a discounted price.
"We don't need an ENGAGEMENT session, can we take it out of the collection and get a discount?"
The complimentary engagement session takes place close to our home, in the McCall area. We have several locations we love photographing at that show off the beauty of the Idaho mountains. However, we are open to photographing at an unique location you have access to. There is a travel fee for sessions outside of the McCall area.
"Where will the engagement session take place? Can I pick my location?"
We often serve couples that do not live in Idaho, and aren't able to schedule a trip for engagement pictures prior to the wedding. That's okay! We have done engagement session the week of the wedding, and find they still give just as much value to the experience. As long as the engagement session is scheduled for before your wedding date, we are good to go!
"We won't be in Idaho till the wedding, What should we do?"
ABSOLUTELY!!! We love when our couples introduce us to their fur babies! We are often photographing in the mountains with lots of room for your pup to run. Also, since there are two of us, it allows us to get and keep the dogs attention while capturing the moments.
"Can we bring our dog?"
Yes! About three weeks after your engagement session you will receive an online gallery full of your beautiful images. You will have the ability to download all of the images and share the gallery with friends and family.
"Will I receive the digital images with the session?"
Don't fret! Picking out outfits can sometimes be stressful, but it can also be really fun. This is the chance for your unique style to shine. We will send over all the tips and tricks we have to help guide you through selecting the best outfits and props for your session.
"How do I pick what outfits and props to bring?"
We recommend getting on our calendar as soon as possible because our prime dates book quickly. Often our weekends are full, so weekdays will be your best option. We recommend picking a season that is different from when you are getting married, so you will have more diversity in your images. After you book, we will send over more information about locations and seasons for you to choose from.
"When should we book our engagement session?"
Yes! We highly recommend doing a trial run with your hair and makeup artist on the day of your engagement session. This is a wonderful way to see how your makeup will photograph. No matter where you are at with your love of makeup, taking it up a notch from your everyday look is always recommended for portraits.
